Verona Park Wedding

A Cherry Blossom Elopement at Verona Park

There is something so effortlessly romantic about a Verona Park wedding, especially in the heart of spring. Astra and Augie’s intimate celebration on April 11, 2026 was the perfect reminder that sometimes, the simplest weddings are the most meaningful.

Set in beautiful Verona Park, right along the border of Montclair, this dreamy North Jersey location came alive with soft pink cherry blossoms, glowing sunlight, and the quiet kind of magic you can only find in the early morning hours.

A Slow Morning Filled with Love

Their day began around 9:30 in the morning, and because of that, everything felt calm, intentional, and so incredibly peaceful. The park was quiet, the light was soft, and there was this gentle stillness in the air that made every moment feel even more special.

Astra and Augie had taken their time getting here. Waiting, growing, and choosing the perfect moment to finally say “I do.” And honestly, it could not have worked out more beautifully. Their Verona Park wedding happened right at peak cherry blossom season, and the timing felt almost meant to be.

Everywhere you looked, there were blooms. Soft pink petals covered the ground like confetti, while the branches above swayed gently in the breeze. And as we walked through the park, stopping beneath each breathtaking tree, it felt like we were stepping through a love story unfolding in real time.

A Ceremony Beneath the Blossoms

When it was time for their ceremony, we crossed one of Verona Park’s charming little bridges and made our way to the most stunning weeping cherry blossom tree. Its branches cascaded down like a curtain of petals, creating the most romantic and intimate setting you could imagine.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Astra and Augie exchanged vows and were officially pronounced husband and wife. And then, instead of a traditional exit, they did something so uniquely them. They picked up their guitars.

Sealing Their Marriage with Music

Music has always been at the heart of their relationship. Both Astra and Augie have been in bands, and it’s something that connected them deeply from the very beginning. So it only made sense that they would incorporate it into their wedding day.

Together, they performed an original song, one they wrote themselves, as their first act as a married couple. It was emotional, heartfelt, and completely so unforgettable. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

Moments like that are what make a Verona Park wedding feel so personal. It’s not about tradition, it’s about telling your story in the most authentic way possible.

Bocce, Laughter, and Family Traditions

After the ceremony, we made our way over to the bocce ball courts. Because of course, this day wouldn’t be complete without a little family tradition. Bocce was especially meaningful to their fathers, and it was so special to see everyone come together for a quick game.

Guests gathered around, cheering and laughing, while Astra and Augie played beneath yet another canopy of cherry blossoms. It was lighthearted fun, and full of the kind of memories that will be talked about for years to come.

Golden Light & Sweet Moments by the Bridge

After family photos, we wandered back toward the bridge, one of my favorite spots in the park, for a few more portraits. The sunlight was still shining beautifully, filtering through the trees and reflecting softly off the water.

Astra and Augie were completely wrapped up in each other. Smiling, laughing, and glowing with that just-married kind of happiness. You could see it in every glance, every touch, every quiet moment they shared. They were on cloud nine, and it was such a joy to capture.

A Perfectly Intimate Celebration

To finish off the morning, everyone headed to brunch. This day was never about anything over-the-top. It was about love, connection, and creating something intentional and true to who they are.

Astra and Augie, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day. It was such an honor to be your photographer and to witness something so genuine and beautiful. I wish you both a lifetime of love, music, and happiness 🤍
