The Morristown Green Engagement

A Sunny Spring Engagement at The Morristown Green

Carley and Stephen’s engagement session at The Morristown Green was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, glowing sunlight, and historic charm. Originally, we had to reschedule due to rain, but everything worked out in our favor—the golden-hour light we ended up with gave us that soft, light and airy look that made this session shine.

Historic Park Engagement in Downtown Morristown

The Morristown Green is a historic gem nestled right in the heart of Morristown, New Jersey. This small but vibrant park is surrounded by local boutiques, restaurants, and charming storefronts. Once used as a military encampment during the Revolutionary War, the park is now a favorite spot for couples and families to gather. Its timeless beauty and quaint setting made it the perfect location for this romantic New Jersey engagement session.

Their Love Story: From Grad School to Getting Engaged

In the beginning, Carley and Stephen first met in grad school while studying physical therapy—how sweet is that? They bonded quickly, and their connection only grew stronger. Fast forward to now: they’re engaged and planning a beautiful life together. Stephen proposed right in The Morristown Green, making it even more meaningful to return for their engagement session.

After the proposal, they brought their families back to the park a few days later to celebrate, and they dined just across the street at Restaurant 1776, one of their favorite local spots. Naturally, we made sure to get a few special shots in front of the restaurant during our session—it’s a moment they’ll always treasure.

A Joyful Spring Photo Shoot with Blooming Flowers

Our rescheduled date gave us perfect spring conditions. The trees were blooming with soft pink and white flowers, adding the most romantic backdrop to our photos. This Morristown NJ engagement photo session was full of laughter and love—Carley and Stephen had me smiling the entire time! They’re one of those couples who just fit together. As a result, they joked, giggled, and enjoyed every second of the session

A Unique Engagement Ring That Sparkled Like Their Love

Carley’s ring? Absolutely stunning! It’s a marquise-cut diamond, set in white gold with a yellow gold band and tiny side stones for a truly elegant, one-of-a-kind look. She told Stephen the shape she liked and let him take it from there—and wow, did he deliver! For this reason, he exceeded her expectations, which she says is no easy task. It was so fun capturing her joy and pride as she showed it off.

Looking Ahead to Their Rock Island Lake Club Wedding

Carley and Stephen are getting married next spring at Rock Island Lake Club, one of my favorite wedding venues in New Jersey. It’s gorgeous year-round, but it especially shines in spring. With their love, their vision, and that stunning venue, I already know their day will be unforgettable.

Capturing Love at The Morristown Green Engagement Session

The Morristown Green engagement session with Carley and Stephen was such a joy to photograph. As a New Jersey wedding photographer who specializes in light and airy, romantic imagery, it’s always an honor to capture these kinds of sweet, emotional stories. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next May and document even more laughter, love, and celebration.
