The Madison Hotel Wedding | Michelle & Patrick’s Romantic March Celebration
There’s something so special about The Madison Hotel Wedding, especially when it’s filled with sunshine, meaningful details, and so much love. Michelle and Patrick’s day was the perfect mix of cozy elegance and light and airy rooms to hide from the chilly March air. From start to finish, their wedding felt warm, intentional, and completely them.
Getting Ready at The Madison Hotel Wedding
The morning began right at the venue, which is always one of my favorite ways to start a wedding day. It keeps everything relaxed, and Michelle’s bridal suite was exactly that. Calm, joyful, and full of anticipation. The girls kept the vibe light and easy while sunlight poured through the windows as hair and makeup wrapped up. Michelle was glowing the moment I walked in, smiling, excited, and soaking in every second.
Meaningful Details & Sweet Tributes
Before getting dressed, I spent some time capturing their details, and this part of the day was especially emotional. Michelle had a beautiful pendant attached to her bouquet with photos of her grandfathers who are no longer with us. It was such a touching way to have them with her.
Patrick had something just as meaningful, a photo of his grandfather pinned with his details. These quiet tributes always add such depth to a wedding day, and you could feel how much family meant to both of them.
A Classic & Elegant Wedding Day Look
Patrick got ready with the help of his best man, buttoning up his jacket and tying his bow tie. He looked incredibly sharp in a classic black tux, very timeless and refined. Downstairs, Michelle stepped into her gown with the help of her mom.
The Dress Details
Her dress was an A-line silhouette with a satin sweetheart neckline and layers of soft chiffon that flowed into a long, dreamy train. But the standout detail? The most beautiful oversized asymmetrical bow on the back. It added such a romantic, modern touch. And don’t forget the row of buttons trailing down the back.
A Beautiful Church Ceremony
Once everyone was ready, we headed to the church for their ceremony. Michelle arrived in style, riding with her father in a white vintage Rolls Royce. Watching her step out of the car and walk up those steps was such a special moment. Inside, the church was filled with natural light streaming through large stained glass windows. It created the most beautiful, soft glow.
Patrick walked down the aisle with his mother, and then it was time. Everyone stood as Michelle appeared through the tall doors. It was a breathtaking sight. As she walked down the aisle, you could see Patrick overcome with emotion. It was such a genuine, heartfelt moment.
Their ceremony was sweet and meaningful. They exchanged rings, shared their first kiss as husband and wife, and walked back down the aisle absolutely glowing with happiness.
Indoor Portraits at The Madison Hotel Wedding
After a few portraits inside the church, we headed back to the venue. We grabbed some photos under the awning with the Rolls Royce (which were so cute!). But because of the chilly wind, we decided to stay indoors for the rest. And honestly? The Madison Hotel always delivers.
Light-Filled & Elegant Spaces
Even though the main conservatory space was occupied, we found another gorgeous room filled with natural light, greenery, and soft white tones. It even had a huge beautiful chandelier. It was the perfect setting for bridal party photos and romantic portraits. This is one of the reasons I love photographing a The Madison Hotel Wedding, there are endless beautiful backdrops no matter the season.
Unique & Fun Photo Locations
Michelle and Patrick also wanted to explore some of the venue’s more unique spaces, like the restaurant and the train car and I’m so glad they did! We created some really artistic, fun images in those areas. It added such personality to their gallery and made their portraits feel even more special.
A Joyful Cocktail Hour (With a Special Guest)
We wrapped portraits just in time for cocktail hour which Michelle and Patrick were so excited about. They really wanted to spend that time relaxing and being present with their guests, and they did exactly that. Guests enjoyed delicious food and signed a beautifully illustrated guest book featuring the venue. It was such a creative keepsake.
Honoring Rigatoni 🐾
One of my favorite details? Their signature drinks were named after their adorable pug, Rigatoni! They even had custom napkins with his face on them! They got updates and photos of him during the day, which made Michelle so happy. Including your pets in little ways like this is always the sweetest touch.
A High-Energy Reception to Remember
From the moment guests entered the reception, the energy was unmatched. The bridal party made their entrances with so much excitement, and Michelle and Patrick came in matching that energy. Coming in hands in the air, ready for fun! They went straight into their first dance, and halfway through, they invited everyone to join them on the dance floor. Which was such a fun and inclusive moment. And from there? The party didn’t stop. The dance floor stayed packed all night, every song hit, and their guests brought the energy from start to finish. Michelle and Patrick truly danced the night away surrounded by so much love.
Final Thoughts on The Madison Hotel Wedding
Michelle and Patrick’s wedding was the perfect reminder that even a chilly March day can feel incredibly warm when it’s filled with love. From meaningful heirlooms to high-energy dancing and everything in between, their day was such an honor to capture.
Michelle and Patrick, thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding. It meant the world. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and love.
