A Chilly Winter Wedding Day at Perona Farms

Rebecca and Tom’s Perona Farms Refinery Wedding took place on a crisp January afternoon in Sparta, NJ. They chose the charming and rustic barn to get ready—Tom prepared downstairs while Rebecca and her bridesmaids enjoyed the cozy upstairs space. The barn’s wooden beams and warm tones made the perfect backdrop for the start of their winter celebration.

Custom Details That Made the Day Personal

Rebecca’s details were stunning and full of personality. Her mother proudly shared that she custom-made the ring box with vinyl lettering for a special DIY touch. Rebecca also had delicate beaded sleeves added to her winter wedding gown—and you’d never guess they were an addition. She looked radiant, and her joy was contagious as she twirled in her dream dress. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids wore emerald green velvet dresses, a perfect choice for the season. Tom tied it all together with his own emerald velvet suit jacket—an amazing and stylish match to the winter wedding palette.

A First Look to Remember

Thanks to the heated van provided by Perona Farms, we stayed warm as we headed out for the first look. Rebecca met Tom on the bridge, and the moment he turned around, tears filled his eyes. He pulled her in tight, overwhelmed by her beauty and the excitement of the day. Their love was palpable.

We captured portraits by the lake, on the rustic bridge, and—of course—in the Pines. Perona Farms is known for this stunning photo spot, with two rows of towering pine trees that stretch far into the distance. Rebecca and Tom danced, dipped, and kissed beneath the trees, fully in the moment and glowing with joy.

Magical Portraits and a Stunning Ceremony Space

After warming up inside, we headed to the Refinery for more portraits, including a few cozy shots on the grand staircase, surrounded by glowing Christmas trees. The bridal party braved the cold for a few quick group photos as the sun began to set.

Their ceremony space in the Refinery was absolutely breathtaking. A tall stone fireplace, white walls, string lights, and a glass ceiling set the scene for their night ceremony. The aisle shimmered with white rose petals, and their asymmetrical half arch, wrapped in lush greenery and white hydrangeas, created an elegant and modern backdrop. They exchanged vows under the stars, surrounded by loved ones, and were married by friends who had known them for years—such a meaningful touch.

One of the Best Cocktail Hours in NJ

Following the ceremony, Rebecca and Tom joined their guests at one of the most talked-about cocktail hours in New Jersey. With options like a pizza bar, raw bar, artisan cheeses, and smoked meats, everyone was in food heaven. Laughter and conversation filled the room as they mingled and celebrated.

A Dance Floor Full of Energy and Joy

The reception kicked off with a packed dance floor, thanks to a DJ who kept the party going strong. Rebecca made a quick outfit change and reentered the room with Tom, both holding oversized “Fat Head” cutouts of each other. It was hilarious and high-energy—everyone loved it! They cut their cake, shared sweet kisses, and danced the night away, surrounded by incredible friends and family. Every moment radiated joy and love.
