Jessica and Dan’s Lake Mohawk Country Club wedding in Sparta, NJ, was the kind of day that reminds you love can shine through anything—even a little rain! Their celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and so many unforgettable moments. From the emotional first look on the boardwalk to their rose petal exit as husband and wife, it was a true honor to capture every part of this magical day.

Although the weather forecast wasn’t on our side, Jessica and Dan were total troopers. It turned out to be a rainy day on the lake, but we found a few perfect pockets of time without rain to sneak outside for portraits—and they came out so lovely! The overcast skies gave everything a soft, romantic glow that complemented their light and airy wedding vision perfectly.

Bridal Party Surprises

One of the best moments of the day? When the entire bridal party—yes, a very large group—ran outside for a quick photo together. We got the shot just in time before the rain started coming down again, and everyone sprinted back inside, laughing the whole way. It was such a fun, spontaneous memory, and the kind of thing that makes a wedding day so special.

Jessica and Dan embraced every moment of their Lake Mohawk Country Club wedding with such joy. From veil shots dancing in the wind to sweet stolen glances during golden hour, they truly loved every minute of being bride and groom. Their first look along the boardwalk was emotional and intimate, set against the peaceful view of the lake—and it set the tone for the rest of the day.

Then they held the ceremony indoors in front of the venue’s iconic large window that overlooks the lake. As a result of the rain, the inside ceremony room felt warm and magical with all the decor. The view of the water made for a stunning backdrop as they said “I do.” When they were announced as husband and wife, guests tossed rose petals in celebration! The joy on their faces said it all.

Dance the Night Away

And then? It was time to party! The band kept the energy high all night long with wild, fun music that had everyone on their feet. Jessica and Dan’s reception was such a blast—filled with dancing, laughter, and pure celebration. Later they even held them up on chairs and were celebrated!
