Courtney and Doug’s Elegant Wedding at Rock Island Lake Club

Courtney and Doug’s wedding day was absolutely magnificent! They chose to have their wedding at the incredible Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, New Jersey. From start to finish, the entire day unfolded beautifully at this stunning location. The venue provided us with ample time to capture an abundance of photos, and I eagerly took advantage of every moment.

Getting Ready: The Bridal Suite

As soon as I arrived, I headed up to the bridal suite. The atmosphere was immaculate – with Courtney and her four wonderful bridesmaids getting ready, pumping early ’90s jams, and helping Courtney with anything and everything. Seeing Courtney for the first time in her wedding dress was an unforgettable moment. Her chic, gorgeous dress, complete with an adorable bow on the back, was absolute perfection! In addition, the beautiful long veil completed her stunning bridal look. She truly made the most beautiful bride!

As a result, the bridesmaids cheered her on, even getting teary-eyed at how beautiful she looked. She then had a touching First Look with her dad, where there were even more tears. It was such a sweet and beautiful moment to witness.

A First Look to Remember

Finally, it was time to see Doug! He looked so handsome in his three-piece suit, waiting on the dock to see his future bride. The moment they saw each other, they embraced and kissed. Courtney showed Doug her adorable bow, and he was absolutely taken aback by how stunningly beautiful she looked. Then, it was time for some bride and groom photos! Then, we walked all around the venue, capturing amazing, gorgeous shots that looked like they jumped straight out of a magazine! Which isn’t anything new for Doug, he has a career as a successful model! As a result, it definitely shows in how well these two just fall together.

A Beautiful Celebration

Later, after some fun bridal party photos and family photos, it was time for the ceremony! The ceremony was quick, beautiful, and full of love. Luckily, it didn’t rain! Although we had a little sprinkle in between photo ops, we ultimately were able to enjoy the outdoors all day with no rain – making the ceremony perfect. Courtney and Doug were finally declared husband and wife and were ready to celebrate!

Rock Island Reception

The reception was electrifying! The greenery, white florals and succulents styled paired nicely with Courtney and Dougs modern vibe. My favorite piece is definitely the mirror that says “Hello Darling” after Courtney (and my) favorite quote from Rhys in ACOTAR! A special thanks to Natalie from Lace & Rose Events for setting everything up so beautifully!

Courtney and Doug had their first dance to “You Make It Easy,” with big letters in the back spelling out their last name and sparklers – adding to the magical ambiance. Then it was time to party! The entire dance floor was packed the whole night, with the DJs were playing all the best songs. After the cake cutting, Courtney came down in her new reception dress to Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” and it was a total vibe! Lastly, we finished off the night with classic tunes, dancing, and fun with heart glasses and LED wands.

It was such a wonderful wedding to be a part of and to capture. Rock Island Lake Club truly provided the perfect setting for this unforgettable day.
