(Clarks Landing Yacht Club) Taylor & Matt

Taylor & Matt’s Late Summer Wedding at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ

Taylor and Matt’s wedding day at Clarks Landing Yacht Club was joyful, elegant, and full of personal touches from start to finish. Set on a sunny late August day in Point Pleasant, NJ, their celebration blended coastal beauty, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of Disney magic.

Interestingly, this wedding came full circle in the best way. Through a long but meaningful chain of connections, I met Taylor’s mom at a bridal shower. We sat at the same table, started talking, and instantly connected. From there, the rest was history.

A Fairytale Wedding Morning by the Bay

First and foremost, the day began in the beautiful new bridal suite at the venue. Taylor got ready surrounded by love, excitement, and a whole lot of happy tears.

Undoubtedly, Taylor looked like an absolute princess and that was completely intentional! She and Matt both love Disney, and those fairytale details were woven throughout their day. Taylor wore a tiara, long flowing princess hair, and a breathtaking gown that felt timeless and regal.

Her dress featured a sweetheart neckline, an incredibly long train, and elegant embossing with lace, beading, and subtle hints of gold. You truly don’t see gowns like this anymore. And honestly? We should bring them back because she looked like a dream.

Meanwhile, Taylor’s mom couldn’t stop crying happy tears. It was such a tender and emotional morning.

A Groom With Classic, Old-Hollywood Style

Not only did Taylor shine, but Matt looked incredible as well. He got ready at a nearby hotel before heading to Clarks Landing Yacht Club for portraits.

Importantly, we took his photos in the library and study area near the cocktail hour space. The vibe was classic, moody, and refined like a stylish gentleman enjoying a glass of brandy. The result felt elegant, masculine, and timeless.

A Dockside First Look Full of Joy

Following that, it was time for their first look. They chose the dock behind the venue, overlooking the bay with yachts and boats surrounding them.

As soon as Matt turned around, he audibly said, ā€œWOW.ā€ He hugged Taylor tightly, clearly blown away by how stunning she looked. Without a doubt, the joy on their faces said everything.

Afterward, we explored the property for portraits. Taylor especially wanted fun veil photos. Fortunately, her long cathedral veil made that easy and it quickly became one of my favorite parts of the day.

Florals, Bridal Party Style, and a Very Special Guest

Next came bridal party photos. The groomsmen wore navy blue suits, while the bridesmaids wore green dresses. Not just any green but Tiana green, inspired by the Disney princess.

The color palette came together beautifully with Taylor’s florals, which she was especially excited to see come to life. The mix of blues, greens, whites, and texture looked incredible.

And then came Loki.

Their adorable orange corgi puppy arrived wearing a tiny tuxedo! Naturally, he stole the show. He gave kisses, smiled for the camera, and soaked up every second of attention. Above all, I love when couples include their dogs because they’re family too!

A Ceremony Filled With Emotion and Laughter

Finally, it was time for the ceremony. And who got to walk down the aisle too? Loki, of course escorted by a bridesmaid and greeted with laughter and smiles from every guest!

After the flower girls and ring bearers, Taylor made her entrance. She was walked down the aisle by her mom and little brother, the two most important people in her life aside from Matt. It was emotional, beautiful, and incredibly meaningful.

The indoor ceremony space at Clarks Landing Yacht Club was stunning. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed views of the bay and yachts outside. Inside, the aisle and altar were lined with lush florals, creating a romantic and elegant atmosphere.

They exchanged vows, shared their first kiss, and walked back down the aisle beaming officially married and ready to celebrate!

An Unforgettable Cocktail Hour and Disney-Inspired Details

Following the ceremony, guests flowed into cocktail hour and this venue truly delivers. There was so much food. Seafood, sushi, charcuterie, and everything in between.

Importantly, Loki made another appearance but this time as the signature drink, and again on their wedding cake. It genuinely looked like he was sneaking a bite, which made everyone laugh.

The cake itself was topped with a Disney castle, which was adorable and completely on brand. In addition, the reception details were just as thoughtful. Tall white floral centerpieces filled the room, and the seating chart used famous Disney couples to identify each table. Such a fun and personal touch.

A Sunset Moment and a Packed Dance Floor

Then it was time for their grand entrance. The parents and bridal party ran into the ballroom full of energy and excitement. Finally, Taylor and Matt entered as sparklers went off. They ran in, kissed, and made their way straight to the center of the dance floor.

Their first dance followed, surrounded by family and friends. Then, just before sunset and perfectly timed between speeches, we snuck outside to the deck for photos. The sky turned the most beautiful shades of pink and purple as Taylor twirled, dipped, and laughed with her new husband under the setting sun.

Subsequently, it was time to party!!

The DJ kept the energy high all night, and the dance floor stayed packed. We bounced between dancing, visiting tables for photos, and soaking in the celebration. Then came cake cutting, more kisses, and another very sweet surprise.

Taylor and Matt surprised Taylor’s grandfather with a birthday cake. Everyone sang, he blew out the candles, and the room filled with love. It was such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture.

A Joyful Ending

Taylor and Matt, thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer. It was truly an honor capturing your day. I wish you a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and love a happily ever after fit for a Disney couple!
