Katherine & Maxās Early Summer Wedding at The Madison Hotel in Morristown, NJ
Katherine and Maxās Madison Hotel garden wedding in Morristown, NJ was the perfect blend of classic elegance, heartfelt moments, and joyful celebration. Set in early summer, their wedding day felt light, romantic, and full of love from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this day was going to be something truly special!
A Chic and Thoughtful Wedding Morning
Katherine began her day getting ready at The Madison Hotel alongside her many bridesmaids, lifelong best friends who have been by her side for years. Everyone wore the prettiest soft pinks and summery tones, which instantly created a romantic and cohesive feel.
They popped champagne, laughed, and soaked in every moment together before easing into getting ready. Katherineās mom helped her into her dress, which was such a meaningful and emotional moment to witness.
Meanwhile, Max got ready downstairs with his groomsmen and his dad. There was a calm excitement in the room as he put on his tux, bow tie, and special cufflinks. Quiet moments filled with anticipation.
A Romantic First Look Along the Garden Path
Katherine and Max chose to do their first look in one of the most beautiful spots on the property. The long garden pathway lined with tall pine trees, with The Madison Hotel perfectly framed behind them.
This part of their Madison Hotel garden wedding was incredibly emotional. As soon as they saw each other, happy tears flowed, smiles grew wider, and everything felt very real. We stayed in this spot for a while, capturing romantic portraits surrounded by lush greenery.
They looked so sophisticated and elegant, fitting together effortlessly in every photo. Sweet kisses, constant smiles, and genuine joy filled every frame.
Greenhouse Portraits and a Very Fun Bridal Party
Because it was a hot summer day, we headed inside to the hotelās stunning greenhouse, filled with natural light, greenery, and blooming florals. Itās such a perfect spot for light and airy wedding photos.
Then came the bridal party (18 people!) plus the bride and groom, making 20 total! While it was a big group, everyone was excited and ready to have fun. We captured classic portraits, cheering shots, and some of my favorites. Especially when the guys put on sunglasses and leaned into the moment.
After family photos, everyone cooled off inside and got ready for the ceremony!
An Emotional Greenhouse Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the Observatory (the greenhouse), and Katherine and Max completely filled the space with their closest family and friends.
When Katherine walked down the aisle with her mom, the entire room was emotional. Their personal vows were heartfelt and beautifully written, leaving the crowd misty-eyed.
When they finally said I do and shared their first kiss, Katherine literally jumped for joy ā pure happiness in its truest form. It was a beautiful moment during their Madison Hotel garden wedding, and one I wonāt forget.
A Joyful Reception Full of Personal Touches
Cocktail hour and the reception were decorated so thoughtfully. Pink and white florals, champagne flowing, custom place cards, a stunning four-tier cake, and the sweetest detail of all: signature drinks and cocktail napkins featuring their catsā faces adorned the room.
After enjoying delicious food, drinks, and time with loved ones, Katherine and Max made their grand entrance into the reception full of excitement.
Their first dance brought on another round of happy tears, and then the band truly kicked off the party. With incredible energy and nonstop hits, the dance floor stayed packed all night long.
The Perfect End to a Beautiful Day
What an unforgettable celebration from start to finish. Katherine and Max, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a meaningful day. It was an absolute honor documenting your love story, and I wish you nothing but happiness in this next chapter together.
